Obituary message

Vernard Clifton Blick Jr, 90, of Richmond passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 after a gradual decline in health.

Vernard was born in Dinwiddie, Virginia. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a machinist by trade. Vernard was an avid outdoorsman and was a lifetime member of the Rockfish Hunt Club for 62 years.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Anne Blick; children Cheryl B. Harvard (Gerry), Vincent C. Blick (Angie), Valerie B. Parrish (Chad), Vernard C. Blick III (Kerrie), Van C. Blick (Betty), Zachary White (Constance) and Joshua White (Liz); nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 7, at Affinity Funeral Service. A service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, December 8 at Smith’s Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, North Dinwiddie, Virginia.
