Wally was such a great person . He educated me well in the history of Virginia , the Civil War and WWII. It was and honor and a privilege to spend time with him.
I worked with Wallace at DOC, and traveled all over the state with him. The long hours in the car seemed to disappear with Wallace telling me stories of his family, world travels, prisoner transport, politics and history. I will be going on a Viking cruise at some point in my life in honor of him. My sympathies to the family, and may your memories of Wallace bring you enjoyment.
A friend and a true professional who will be missed. I loved to hear his stories about travel.
Wally was an excellent jail inspector who had common sense. His knowledge and experience was unmatched.
Rest easy my friend.
Wallace was my mentor while working for DOC, he loved to travel the world, he and I traveled many miles together and spent many hours inspecting Jail he was a loyal friend, God Bless his family and my good riend
Wallace Lambert (Wally) was one of the best jail inspectors the Commonwealth of Virginia has ever had. It was an honor to have known him and the many times I had him as my inspector, I always learned something from him. He was kind, fair, and always a pleasure to have in our jail. He was full of so much knowledge and wisdom and so many stories of his travels and hobbies! He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
