Washington Powell, 75, of Richmond, VA, departed this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
Washington leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Florence Powell; his mother, Rosa Mae Powell; one son, George Powell (LaTonja); one daughter, Angela Powell; two grandsons, Lamont and Geordan Powell; three sisters, Sarah Ross (Jack), Cynthia Wood (Marshall), Margaret Gillus (Anthony); four brothers, Edward (Geneva), Gerald (Patricia), Bernard, and Floyd Powell. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Lars, Willie, and Robert Powell. Survivors also include a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294, with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service.
Due to high-risk family members, individuals unvaccinated (COVID 19) will not be able to attend in person. Masks will be required at the visitation and the memorial service.
