William B. Rice, 78, was elevated to glory on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret C. Cavanaugh, his father, William Joseph Rice, and his wife, Mary Jo (Jordan) Rice.  Bill is survived by his three sons, James J. Rice and wife Joan, Steven R. Offenback and wife Deniz, Shawn D. Offenback and wife Judy; daughter, Sharlene P. Besosa and husband Frank; cousin, Edward C. Rice, along with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived in various states along the east coast to finally settle down in Islandton, SC.  Bill was a mechanic for over 20 years.  He had a passion for classic cars, food, novels, a good cup of coffee, and his dog Echo.  At the end of the day, he enjoyed nothing more than relaxing on the couch and watching documentaries or his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.  Bill will be missed and remembered through many cherished memories.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on June 5^th, 2021 at Affinity Funeral Service located at 2720 Enterprise Parkway Richmond, VA 23294.
