July 3, 1985 – November 29, 2022
CAMPBELL, William III, age 37, affectionately known as Buggy, Fatboy, Bill, or Billy, of Richmond, VA passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Buggy was a big-time jokester. He always had a joke to tell and made anyone laugh. He loved his family more than anything and would give the shirt off his back for his friends.
Survivors include his parents, William and Brenda Campbell, his sister Michelle Johnson (Kenneth and nephew Hunter) and the love of his life, Desiree Campbell and children, and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Betsy “Candy” Evans, and his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Affinity Funeral Service, 8074 Mechanicsville Tnpk, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share an act of kindness, in Buggy fashion because he really would have done anything for anyone.

My heart hurts every time I think of you being gone! You will always and forever be missed!!
You always had the brightest smile in the room & the best jokes!
My favorite memories will ALWAAAAYS be how you rigged stuff up to ride! I mean we had Barbie power wheels with lawnmower or car batteries hooked up to ride around the neighborhood!
May you be at peace now! Love you always!
I am so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and the family.
Buggy I will truly miss you and the memories we had! I will always remember the family gatherings we had hanging out near the camp fire and cooking on the grill. Rest easy above and we shall meet again. Love you man!
Definitely won’t be the same world without you I will miss you
you were one of the few people in this world that I could ask a question and get the 100% honest truth you will be missed
Please watch over me and my children and your family since you are now one of our guardian angels
Mike & Billy were two of the first people I met at CCS. I hadn’t seen Billy in several years but remember his welcoming and funny personality. My late husband and I also ran into Billy several times fishing on the James near Rockets Landing and had many laughs over what we were/weren’t catching. My heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.
