William Henry Morris Jr.

November 16, 1945 – November 25, 2023

William Henry Morris Jr., also known to many as, “ Junnie or Bill”, 78 of N. Chesterfield, VA., transitioned on Monday, November 25, 2023.

William Jr. was born on November 16, 1945 to the late William Henry Morris Sr. and Vera Jane Morris, in Richmond, VA. After He graduated from Richmond Public School System, he went to work at MCV Hospital, currently VCU Medical Center, in radiology, kickstarting a career he would enjoy until retirement. In the 1970’s, William was a member of the Black Panthers, loved socializing after work at Penny Lane Pub, Oriental Express and Days Inn Lounge, had two green thumbs and the best collection of Jazz music in Richmond. William also enjoyed watching the news, sports and drinking coffee. quiet, yet determined, was his demeanor, always smiling, never angry, upset or dismayed.

William was predeceased by his parents, William and Vera Morris Sr.; sister Norma L. Scott; and brother Soloman Morris. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his daughter, Gwendolyn Butler; grandson Tyler Butler; sisters Karen J. Morris and Valerie M. Dennis (Charles Sr.);brothers John A. and Charles V. Morris Sr.; nieces Sabrina Trimiew-Dennis (David), Monique Scott, LaSonia Baker and Natasha Morris; nephews Willie Scott Jr.(Shelia), Joseph Scott(Constance), Norman Sr., Darrell, Quintin Sr., and Attila Scott, Charles Dennis Jr., Jason, Chris, Kanobii and Charles Morris Jr. William also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
