William T. “Tiny” Taylor

 February 19, 1965 – June 18, 2024

William T. “Tiny” Taylor, age 59 of Henrico, VA, passed away on June 18, 2024. He was born in Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anne, and Billy Taylor. He is survived by his twin brother, Todd Taylor (Terry Curlee). He was a graduate of Hermitage High School and Ferrum College. He attended

Tim loved his fraternity brothers. He was a charter member of the Omega Alpha chapter at VCU and KDR was a vehicle to have an extended family for him. He epitomized brotherly love. He kept in touch with his brothers throughout his life which gave him much happiness.

Tim was an avid Washington Redskins fan. When you encountered Tim, you mostly saw at least one piece of Redskins apparel. Tim and his family were Redskins season ticket holders since 1984. His condo was decorated in Redskins chic.

Tim was most at home around a ball diamond. He was a manager/coach/sponsor for several top-ranked men’s softball teams. The teams began with Hanover  Carpet and eight others. He coached teams to win the USSSA Majors 3 times, 1 USSSA World Championship, 1 ASA and 1 ISA Super Major Championship. Tim was honored to be inducted into the Central VA USA Hall of Fame in 2022.

Tim spent his working career at Ukrops. Tim never met a stranger. He was always interested in what the other person could bring to his life. Tim was lucky to have long friendships many of which began elementary school He was a true friend to all. Tim and Todd were best friends. Tim will be greatly missed by all who  knew him.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Affinity Funeral Service in Henrico, VA. To honor Tim, please wear your favorite sports jersey. He would want people to be casual. His family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23220.
