Stefan Theodore Kaczynski, 56, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2017, surrounded by family, after a long illness and courageous battle. He was born on August 26, 1961 in Arlington, VA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maureen Beaumet Kaczynski and his father, Theodore Kaczynski. He is survived by his companion of 28 years, Teresa L. Kaczynski, his daughters, Jessica L. Ridenour and Nicole M. Kaczynski, granddaughter, Leila M. Ridenour, brothers, Michael A. Kaczynski, Andre J. Kaczynski and Ivan E. Kaczynski and son-in-law, Warren R. Ridenour, in addition to many other friends and family members who all loved and will miss him dearly.Stefan was a hard worker, having been employed as a roofer in the Washington, DC and Richmond, VA areas for many years until his physical health prevented him from doing so any more. He had a huge heart, full of compassion, was a friend to all and was always willing to help out a friend or family member in a bind. Despite any challenges that Stefan may have faced in life, he always maintained his sense of humor and managed to make light of difficult situations by sharing a good laugh with all those around him.
An adventurer to the end, Stefan began a new journey this past summer when he came to know Christ as his savior. It is a delight and comfort to know that his journey now continues with his passing. Stefan has shed the hardships of this world and now exists only as the beautiful heart and soul he was created to be and as so many of his friends and family knew him to be.
Stefan will be cremated pursuant to his wishes. Please join the family in Celebrating Stefan's Life at a Memorial Service and Reception on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2508 Dickens Rd., Richmond, VA 23230.
We will also be having a Celebration of Life for Stefan in Northern Virginia in December for those who are unable to make it to Richmond - exact date/time/location to be announced."
In lieu of flowers, the family is respectfully accepting donations to help with final arrangements. Please make donations payable to Teresa Kaczynski at 2426 Vernon Rd, Henrico, VA 23228.

I'm very sorry to hear about this. He surely was a kind hearted and giving person. He was one of the "count on one hand friend" kind of guy. If he was your friend you know you had a real genuine loyal true friend. Fly high!!
