A few years ago (four? five?) Cannon and his sister Lilian and his father Jody visited me in Connecticut. (I am Jody's uncle, the brother of his father Woody Bruce.) We had a blast seeing the sights. The beaches of CT, the ferry across the CT River between Chester and Hadlyme, walking about Gillette Castle, and many other pleasant activities. I will never forget his lovely smile. RIP Cannon. I am lighting candles for you at church. Much love to you and to your family from Great-Uncle Neely.

Angela, Jody & Lillian, there are no words to describe this tragedy. My heart breaks for you all. Cannon was an incredible young man and I know nothing will ever fill the void that is left. I am just so sorry and have you all in my thoughts constantly.

I'm so, so sorry to learn about the loss of your beloved Cannon. Few words console the hearts of those that have lost their dear ones, especially a child, but may all of you be comforted by our Heavenly Father who comforts us during our trials. (Psalms 46:1) Please know that Christ Jesus, when on earth, demonstrated his ability to resurrect those who have fallen asleep in death. He will do so again on a global scale during his reign under God’s Kingdom. (Matthew 6:9,10; John 5:28,29)
